Job summary

arc After School and Experiential Education is seeking a Site Coordinator in Los Angeles to support students, staff, and program leaders at the affiliated school. You will help develop lesson plans, track attendance, and ensure compliance with grant requirements while coordinating with school staff.

The role is part-time, non-exempt, and benefits-eligible, reporting to the Regional Manager. With 30+ hours, benefits include paid sick leave, equipment, and medical/dental/vision coverage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in after-school programming operations.
• Strong communication with kids, parents, and teachers; problem solver and team player.
• Ability to supervise and support staff without constant direction.
• Collaborative with all levels of staff.
• Professional attitude, integrity, confidentiality, and discretion.
• Proven problem solving and conflict resolution.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and common OS.
• Transcripts confirming 60 college units (60 units for high school) or pass proficiency exam.
• TB test, Live Scan, and negative Covid-19 vaccination proof.
• CPR and first aid training or certification within 12 months.
• English-Spanish bilingual preferred.

The job of Site Coordinator is one of the most important at our company because its working directly with our most important clients, who are our students and Program Leaders. You will be on the front line of our work, supporting students and Program Leaders, working with school administrative staff, developing lesson plans, tracking attendance and grant requirements.

What a typical day is like for an Arc Site Coordinator

• Welcome staff, kids, and parents to the program at the end of the school day.
• Ensure programs are being well-led and that safety is paramount.
• Coach staff and guide their growth.
• Check in with school staff to keep programming in sync.
• Communicate with parents, keeping them updated on programs and their childs well-being.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in after-school programming operations and administrative skills.
• To be a good communicator, able to talk to kids, parents, and teachers comfortably, a problem solver, a team player, and a good listener.
• Ability to supervise and support staff without constant direction
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff
• Professional attitude, commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and professional discretion.
• Proven ability to solve problems, make decisions, and resolve conflicts
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and common operating systems
• Your official or unofficial college transcripts that confirm you have completed 48+ college credit units (if youre applying for a high school position, its 60 units) OR you take and pass an academic proficiency exam.
• You must get a TB test (and provide proof that it is negative), pass a Live Scan background check, and have a current vaccination for Covid 19.
• You will be required to take CPR and first aid training or provide proof that you have been certified within 12 months.
• English-Spanish bilingual speaker highly preferred.

The Site Coordinator position is part-time, non-exempt, and benefits-eligible. This position reports to the Regional Manager.
