Job summary

ProCare Therapy in Rochester, WA is seeking a full-time Sign Language Interpreter to support a high school student. The schedule is about 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday (Mon-Thu 7:30am-2:30pm, Fri 7:30am-1:30pm). Orientation on Sept 1–2, with the first day of school on Sept 3 through June 15, 2027.

Compensation ranges with weekly pay and access to comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus a matching 401(k) and flexible spending options.

Qualifications

• EIPA score of at least 3.5 required.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language.
• Experience as classroom interpreter and/or teaching ASL is desirable.
• Ability to adapt communication styles to student needs.
• Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time sign language interpretation for classroom instruction and activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure curriculum access.
• Travel between 1–2 school sites (about 20 minutes apart) as needed.
• Engage in preparatory and wrap-up activities before the academic year begins.
• Uphold ethical standards and promote accessibility in all aspects of school life.
