Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of practical teaching experience.
• Bachelor's degree and NYS teaching certificate.
• High School Alternative School setting experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license; willing to travel if needed.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate lesson plan instructions for students, including 1:1 and small groups.
• Develop and issue educational content such as notes, tests, and assignments.
• Supervise classes to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
• Organize supplies and resources for lectures and presentations.
• Deliver personalized instruction and promote interactive learning.
• Plan and implement educational activities and events.
• Present lessons clearly using visual/audio aids.
• Allocate and grade homework, assignments, and tests.
• Observe and report on student performance and behaviors.
