Job summary

Madison High School is seeking a Teacher Science for grades 9-12. The position is located at Madison High School and follows the State Salary Schedule for Licensed Teachers. It is a 10-month, full-time role beginning January 4, 2027.

The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in an approved education program (or be eligible to add the subject area) and ideally hold a Master's degree. NC teaching license or eligibility is required, with familiarity of NC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an approved education program in subject area or eligibility to add subject area
• Master's Degree preferred
• Must have NC Teaching License or have qualifications to obtain a NC teaching license
• Must understand North Carolina Course of Study/Common Core and Essential Standards

Responsibilities

• Other duties as assigned by Superintendent, Principal or designee including but not limited to extracurricular assignments

Education

Bachelor's degree in education or related field

Master's degree preferred
