Responsibilities include:

1. Establishing and implementing classroom procedures to maximize student learning in an environment appropriate to students' maturity and interests.
2. Preparing detailed weekly lesson plans consistent with Oklahoma Academic Standards and submitting them to the principal.
3. Complying with and implementing all Individualized Education Plans and behavioral or academic interventions.
4. Maintaining a neat and orderly classroom, including physical arrangement, student records, and materials.
5. Handling routine classroom discipline fairly.
6. Assisting administration in implementing policies and rules governing student life and conduct, developing classroom behavior rules, and maintaining order.
7. Attending all required meetings and conferences, including professional development and planning sessions.
8. Maintaining accurate student records, including attendance, performance, and discipline.
9. Providing regular feedback to students and parents, ensuring compliance with laws and district policies, and communicating progress regularly.
10. Using professional behavior in all interactions and complying with applicable laws and policies.
11. Utilizing data to guide instruction, plan interventions, and communicate progress.
12. Providing individualized and small group instruction, adapting curriculum as needed.
13. Creating a technology-enriched learning environment.
14. Maintaining availability to students and parents outside instructional hours.
15. Coordinating work with teacher assistants, parents, and volunteers, including during field trips.
16. Collaborating with professionals to enhance student progress.
17. Performing other tasks as assigned.
