This position supervises and oversees the high school robotics team - Tyros (FRC 6861) within the larger District-wide Robotics Program, including participating in an FRC Robotics Competition and pre/post season recruiting events. Specific tasks range from processing applications, securing permission slips, supervising and guiding the work of student participants during robot construction and competition, coordinating work with business mentors, establishing and working within a budget, directing priorities, adhering to safety rules and expectations, and communicating with all stakeholders. Build sessions, programming, and training, etc., typically take place during evening and some weekend team sessions, and participation in a variety of weekend competitions is expected.
