Job summary

Reynoldsburg City Schools is seeking a High School Robotics Coach for Livingston Campus to lead and mentor students in a robust robotics program and competing teams. The role focuses on teamwork, innovation, and hands-on skill development outside regular school hours, with emphasis on safety and inclusion.

The coach oversees design, programming, fabrication, competition prep, and team logistics while fostering student leadership and industry connections. Immediate start is required.

Qualifications

• Compliance with all district and state background check requirements (BCI/FBI).
• Completion of any district-required safety training or certifications for student activity supervisors.
• Experience working with middle or high school students in an educational, athletic, or extracurricular setting.

Responsibilities

• Guide students through robotics design, programming, fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Lead after-school practices, plan schedules, and manage team logistics.
• Prepare the team for regional, state, and national competitions and coordinate travel.
• Manage program funds, procure equipment, and coordinate sponsorships and grants.
• Foster inclusive teamwork, mentorship, and student leadership development.
• Ensure safety, enforce lab protocols, and maintain a positive learning environment.
