Job summary

Swartz Creek is seeking a dedicated Powerlifting Coach for grades 9–12 to lead after‑school sessions and prepare athletes for occasional competitions. The role emphasizes safe lifting, skill development, and building confidence in a supportive team environment.

The ideal candidate will have coaching experience in powerlifting or related disciplines, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to positive student development within the school athletic department.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement after‑school training programs focused on strength development and technique.
• Lead regular after‑school practices for boys and girls in grades 9–12.
• Teach proper lifting techniques for squat, bench press, and deadlift with safety guidance.
• Prepare athletes for occasional powerlifting meets and coordinate participation.
• Supervise practices and meets, ensure safe equipment use and spotting.
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to improve strength and confidence.
• Recruit and retain students to grow the powerlifting program.
• Maintain weight room facilities in line with safety standards and policies.
