Job summary

Southampton High School in New York is seeking Permanent Substitute Teachers to provide instructional support and classroom coverage throughout the school year.

Permanent substitutes help maintain continuity of instruction by implementing lesson plans, supervising students, and upholding classroom procedures in the absence of the regular teacher. One position is available with duties assigned by the Building Principal.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Teaching Certification.
• Experience working with secondary students preferred.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to a variety of grade levels and subject areas.
• Demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction and supervision in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Implement lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the classroom teacher.

• Follow school procedures for attendance, classroom management, and student supervision.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Building Principal.
