Job summary

Bettendorf Community School District is hiring a High School Paraeducator to support student learning in the high school setting. You will assist in the classroom, work with teachers and staff, and help individual students understand concepts.

Preferred candidates have experience with students in a school setting and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Duties include following lesson plans, maintaining confidentiality, and communicating effectively with students, staff, and parents.

Rate of Pay:

$19.42

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with students in a school setting

• Ability to work well under pressure, set priorities, and maintain confidentiality while remaining calm
• Courteous and professional when interacting with students, staff, and the public
• Ability to provide instruction based on lesson plans and assist individual students in comprehending concepts
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Effective communication skills with students, teachers, staff, and sometimes parents
• Willingness to participate in additional professional development outside regular work hours
