Job summary

Cross Country Education is seeking a local contract School Occupational Therapist for a 41-week assignment in Gurnee, Illinois. Provide school-based OT evaluations, interventions, and services to high school students to support academic, functional, sensory, and daily living needs, aligning with educational goals.

Collaborate with teachers and special education teams to promote participation and independence. Document progress and maintain accurate records throughout the contract period.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Active IL Occupational Therapist License.
• Prior experience in school-based settings, especially with high school students, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations, interventions, and services.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy strategies aligned with educational goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and other school professionals to promote student participation and independence.
• Monitor student progress and maintain timely documentation of evaluations, services, and outcomes.
