Job summary

Grandview School District is seeking a Night Custodian to maintain clean facilities at Grandview High School. You will clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, gym, cafeteria, lobby, and more to ensure a sanitary, safe, and attractive environment for students and staff.

The role includes arranging furnishings for events, securing facilities after hours, and adhering to safety protocols. Education requires a high school diploma, and relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Job related experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned school facilities (e.g. classrooms, offices, restrooms, gym, locker rooms, hallways, cafeteria, lobby, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment.
• Arranges furnishings and equipment for the purpose of providing adequate preparations for meetings, classroom activities and special events.
• Secures facilities and grounds (e.g. lights out, doors locked, check for cleanliness in/outside your area, remove all trash, etc.) for the purpose of minimizing property damage, equipment loss and potential liability to organization.

What You'll be Doing:

What We Offer:

• Salary: $ 24.69- $ 27.59per hour (depending on experience)
• M/D/V insurance, Life insurance, Retirement benefits, Paid sick leave and Paid time off and/or vacation.
• Working days: 5 days per week / 260 days per year
• Night Custodian, Shift Hours: 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm

Work Environment

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 75% walking, and 20% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
