LOCATION: Wyandotte High School

Essential Functions
  • Implement 21st Century Skills into the curriculum.
  • Work a full duty day at assigned location(s).
  • Assess student abilities related to educational goals and standards.
  • Plan and employ diverse instructional strategies suited to students' needs.
  • Manage classroom behavior and participate in behavior management across the site.
  • Communicate instructional expectations and student progress to students and parents.
  • Assess student achievement and maintain documentation for reporting.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan instructional goals and curriculum.
  • Participate in professional development and staff activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Ensure a safe, attractive, and conducive learning environment.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities as requested.
  • Attend IEP meetings for IDEA students.
  • Possess strong content knowledge and understanding of student development.
  • Apply current research and theory to instruction.
  • Establish effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Communicate clearly in oral and written forms.
  • Maintain physical and emotional capacity to perform job duties.
  • Monitor student work and behavior effectively.
  • Be patient, caring, and committed to student success.
  • Follow policies regarding attendance and legal requirements such as Section 504 and IDEA.
  • Maintain professionalism and appearance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Terms of Employment

186 days, certified salary schedule, exempt FLSA status, reports to Director of Libraries and Building Principal, evaluated per Board policy.
