Responsibilities

• Adapts materials and methods to create relevant lesson plans and challenging assignments.
• Develops lesson plans and materials aligned with core standards; provides individualized and small-group instruction.
• Adapts lessons to meet diverse student needs.
• Develops and implements IEPs for each student.
• Plans activities tailored to each student’s abilities.
• Teaches and mentors students in class, and small groups, and one-on-one.
• Monitors IEP progress and communicates with parents/guardians and staff.
• Administers assessments and maintains records; tracks progress.
• Attends staff meetings and professional development.
