Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of curriculum design, teaching and measurement of instructional effects.
• B.A./B.S. in Education and PA Teaching Certificate.
• Background checks and eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order.
• Observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and health.
• Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Plan activities for a balanced program of instruction and exploration.
• Instruct students individually and in groups using various methods.
• Establish clear objectives for lessons and communicate them to students.
• Assign and grade class work and manage the class website.
• Read books to classes or groups as appropriate.
• Prepare, administer, and grade tests to evaluate progress.
• Meet with parents/guardians and staff to discuss progress and needs.
• Maintain accurate student records and follow state guidelines.
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop programs.
• Use technology and equipment to enhance learning.
• Attend professional meetings and trainings to improve competence.
• Organize projects, field trips, and guest speakers for experiential learning.
• Sponsor extracurricular activities and manage classroom resources.
• Adhere to professional conduct and school policies.
