Job summary

Stamford Big Picture Learning Academy is hiring a Classroom Teacher for Mathematics (Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2/Trigonometry) for grades 9-12 in Stamford, CT. The role centers on rigorous, relatable, and relational learning aligned with the Big Picture model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• Valid Connecticut teaching certification; candidacy considered.
• Fingerprint clearance required before start date.
• Two years of high school teaching experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach the school-approved Mathematics curriculum.
• Report punctually to classes at designated locations and times.
• Plan and deliver lessons meeting student needs and interests.
• Use data to drive instruction and interventions.
• Maintain student records of work, grades and progress.
• Communicate with students and families professionally.
