Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of core subject area assigned.
• Texas Teacher Certificate appropriate for level and/or subject area.
• Must be considered highly-qualified per NCLB guidelines.
• Texas Teacher certificate required for Pre-K4 and Special Education positions; licensure verification required.

Responsibilities

• Develop year-long Texas State standards-based unit plans and lesson plans.
• Use assessment data to modify plans to improve student performance.
• Incorporate feedback to improve instructional practices.
• Collaborate with teams to promote critical thinking and rigor.
• Establish relationships with students and families based on trust.
