Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is required.
• ODEW Teacher certification is required; Intervention Specialist K-12 preferred; Non-tax certification will be considered.
• Affinity for working with students with special learning needs is required.
• Must be able to circulate throughout the classroom during instructional periods.
• Must be able to manage stress and student behavior and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare thoroughly for each academic period to present content in a structured way and remediate deficits.
• Follow Lawrence School instructional methodology with training.
• Maintain a structured classroom environment supportive of all learning needs.
• Input grades into the database and post weekly grades for parents.
• Complete curriculum maps biweekly and plan skill instruction and assessments.
• Prepare reports including IEP progress and grade reports.
• Communicate with Campus Leadership Council and parents; respond within 24 hours.
• Attend parent conferences and participate in school meetings as required.
• Address student welfare reports and utilize Learning Plans to inform teaching.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
