Job Description for High School Mathematics Teacher at ICEF

Responsibilities

1. To Students:

• Create a joyful, safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
• Support all students to achieve academic goals, regardless of background or needs.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with standards like Common Core.
• Incorporate feedback from leadership and coaching.
• Build trusting relationships with students and families.
• Implement school-wide systems and teach school values.
• Plan interventions for diverse learning needs.
• Maintain subject expertise and seek continuous improvement.
• Communicate proactively with parents about student progress.

To Other Staff:

• Collaborate with colleagues to foster a professional culture.
• Work with special education staff for differentiated instruction.
• Participate in professional development and support staff when needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• Commitment to ICEF’s mission and vision.
• Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Mathematics and EL Authorization.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• TB and background check clearances.

Preferred:

• Bilingual in Spanish.
• At least one year of teaching experience.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: $68,000 - $125,000
