Job summary

Hillsboro High School is seeking a talented marching band percussion instructor to join the athletics/activities program. You will instruct the percussion section (battery and front ensemble) under the Head Band Director, with opportunities to assist during concert seasons.

The ideal candidate will have a strong percussion background and a passion for teaching high school students in a positive, competitive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university (preferred).
• Missouri State Teaching Certificate (preferred).
• Successful background check and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Teach marching percussion techniques to battery and front ensemble.
• Lead sectional rehearsals and coordinate with band directors.
• Assist with learning and memorizing show music and stands tunes.
• Oversee care and setup of percussion equipment.
• Model a positive conduct, safety, and sportsmanship for all band members.
