Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in food service including quantity and batch cooking preferred.
• Must be physically capable of walking, bending, and standing for long periods; able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to learn and operate Point-of-Sale software.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in an efficient and pleasant manner.
• Take primary responsibility for preparing all menu items for the assigned station, with assistance from Worker/Cashiers as assigned by the Site Lead.
• Replenish all foods, condiments, etc. for the station during service periods and keep the station clean.
• Follow guidance on food presentation and quality from the Director and Site Coordinator; meet program standards.
• Ensure that marketing materials are neat, clean, and properly presented.
• Follow NSLP and SBP meal component and portion guidelines.
• Store leftovers and clean station after service; assist with kitchen area cleaning and sanitizing as needed.
• Complete production records, HACCP logs, and other reporting as assigned.
• Proficiency in use and safe operation and cleaning of all kitchen equipment.
• May be expected to perform other duties as assigned.
