Job summary

LEAD Public Schools in Nashville seeks an Exceptional Education Life Skills teacher for our high school students. You will design data-driven lessons and support students with IEPs in a low-incidence setting, guiding their transition from high school to post-secondary options.

As a team member, you will develop vocational skills, collaborate with teachers and administrators, and advocate for students to participate in general education when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Candidates must have or be eligible for Tennessee SPED licensure with the appropriate endorsement.
• Experience with IEPs and transition planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data driven lesson plans for students with cognitive/developmental delays.
• Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and maintain records.
• Collect data to measure progress toward IEP goals and program effectiveness.
• Support transition to post-secondary options and vocational skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, and administrators to meet student needs.
