Job summary

Jefferson County Public Schools is seeking qualified instructors for Southern High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The positions cover Instructor I, II, or III roles within classroom instruction (non-certified) with a typical calendar of 187 days and 7 hours per day.

Salary ranges from $17.00 to $26.96 per hour, per the salary schedule 1A 6/7/8. The duties include assisting in education program implementation, assessments, and instruction under certified staff. Closing date is 10/21/2026.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Passing score on the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment (KPA) or 48 college hours.
• Experience with children and parents with diverse backgrounds.
• Experience with children with special needs.
• Program certifications/training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the implementation of education programs by providing comprehensive assessments, evaluations, and instruction to meet the needs of parents and children; including home visitation and instruction. Works under the direction of certified staff member.
