Job Description

Required Certificates and Licenses: Michigan Teaching Certification Required. Must have an Industrial Education (TE)IX) certificate.

Residency Requirements: Must reside in Michigan.

The High School Industrial Technology Education Teacher is a highly qualified, state-certified educator responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. Teachers provide instruction, support, and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students’ individual needs. They monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system and work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to achieve educational goals. Teachers typically work from home but must travel occasionally for school functions such as state testing.

Position Details: For the 2025/2026 school year, full-time, with a base salary around $47,000 plus potential performance bonuses. Requires working independently for approximately 40+ hours per week, maintaining a professional home office, and working during standard school hours.

Essential Functions
  • Provide engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences
  • Personalize learning for all students
  • Build positive relationships with students and families
  • Differentiate instruction based on student mastery levels
  • Maintain accurate grade books and communicate student progress
  • Prepare students for standardized tests
  • Support learning coaches/parents with instructional issues and troubleshooting
  • Travel approximately once per month for professional development and testing
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Active state teaching license
  • Ability to pass required background checks
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with the target age group and online platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and maintain certification
Compensation & Benefits

Salaries are based on education, experience, and market factors, typically in the lower half of the range. Benefits details are provided during the hiring process.
