Job summary

Seattle Public Schools in Washington seeks an athletic coach under the direction of the building Principal and Athletic Director to plan, organize, manage, promote and evaluate the program for student growth.

The role may be held in addition to classroom teaching or other assignments and requires adherence to district rules, safety procedures and athletics policies, including CPR/First Aid and WIAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in coaching and working with student-athletes.
• Valid state driver's license and willingness to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and manage athletic activities for designated sport seasons.
• Promote programs, schedule practices, and coordinate with staff and facilities.
• Ensure safety, health care, equipment maintenance and injury records.
