Job summary

WESTSIDE HIGH SCHOOL in Macon, Georgia is seeking a Hall Monitor to supervise hallways and maintain order during class transitions. You will assist students in reaching classrooms on time, escort late arrivals, and communicate with staff to prevent incidents using portable radios.

Responsibilities

• Provides effective supervision of students in and around the school, using techniques to prevent safety incidents.
• Directs students to the correct classrooms and assists with orientations.
• Escorts students to classrooms or offices when late or wandering.
• Assists teachers in removing disruptive students and escorts them to the admin office.
• Maintains communications with staff via portable radios.
• Monitors restrooms to prevent loitering or damage.
• Reports vandalism or damage to school property to administrators.
• Monitors arrival and departure of buses to ensure safe student flow.
• Monitors cafeteria during meals and supports orderly dismissal.
