Job summary

The Davenport Central High School football coaching role within Davenport Community School District requires an Iowa Coaching Authorization or Iowa Teaching License with Coaching Endorsement. Ability to motivate students, communicate with staff and families, and supervise during all sessions is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or Iowa Teaching License with Coaching Endorsement.
• Endorsement requirement is essential for the role.
• Experience with competition/success at the state level is desired.
• Complete online application including a resume and 3 letters of reference.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of working with culturally diverse students.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coach football fundamentals and techniques to students.
• Develop and maintain a strong football program through effort and planning.
• Promote participation in Central High School and other activities.
• Collaborate with Athletic Boosters for concessions and events as needed.
• Assist with feeder programs and youth camps to grow talent pools.
• Provide supervision before, during, and after practices/matches.
• Support conditioning efforts and ensure student safety and conduct.
