Job summary

Westport Public Schools is seeking a Fencing Head Coach for Staples High School to lead and develop the school's fencing program. The role reports to the Athletic Director and oversees coaching staff, practice sessions, and competition planning at Staples High School.

The position runs during the 2026-2027 school year with practices Monday through Saturday and a season from November 2026 to March 2027. Compensation follows the WEA extracurricular schedule; salary ranges based on experience.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification is required.
• Concussion Management certification is required.
• Eligible for CT Coaching Permit is required.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Athletic Director.
• Lead and manage the Staples High School fencing program as head coach.
• Coordinate practices, competitions, and student-athlete development in alignment with district policies.
