Job summary

Intrepid College Prep is seeking a High School Exceptional Education Teacher at Independence Academy High School in Nashville. This on-site role includes a $6,000 signing bonus and a competitive salary schedule starting in the low $50k range, with health benefits and a strong focus on equity and student success.

Qualifications include Tennessee certification, a BA/BS with 2.5 GPA, and at least two years of urban teaching experience. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Tennessee Certification in the appropriate content area, with a track record of data-driven achievement
• B.A./B.S. degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5
• Minimum of two years teaching experience preferred in an urban public school or charter school
• Degree in subject area intended to teach preferred, but not required
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Internalize and execute the rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum including daily lesson plans and unit plans
• Collaborate with colleagues to support EL students and students with disabilities
• Plan high-quality lessons through structured planning time and PD opportunities
• Engage in a culture of classroom visits, curriculum publication, and feedback cycles
• Share teaching strategies and analyze achievement data to improve practice
• Support school-wide systems and high expectations across the campus
• Participate in after-school programs and limited evening/weekend recruitment events
• Perform other duties as assigned
