Responsibilities
- Work with specifications and instructions to assemble medical devices in compliance with quality policies
- Complete quality work at acceptable rates
- Work independently or in teams
- Maintain effective communication and professional interactions across organizational levels
- Accurately document work
- Read and follow product specifications and drawings
- Handle small, intricate parts and various tools/machines
- Perform tasks such as cutting, bonding, and assembling components
- Set up and operate production equipment
- Use measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers
- Perform basic arithmetic operations
- Conduct visual inspections and verify raw materials
- Report quality issues to management
- Occasionally use magnifying devices and work with chemicals such as adhesives and alcohol
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent; participation in Cook-sponsored programs acceptable
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.; no sponsorship provided
Physical Requirements
- Visual acuity of 20/40 with or without correction
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Repetitive motion frequently required
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Moderate noise environment
- Ability to read and understand instructions in English
- Ability to perform physical tasks including grasping, reaching, stooping, and communicating
