Job summary

Manchester School District in Manchester, NH is seeking a 26/27SY High School Teacher - English to join the English and Language Arts team. This long-term affiliate role follows the MEA contract and calendar, with a starting date in late August 2026.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, creating a conducive learning environment, guiding students toward curriculum goals, and assessing progress. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and NH Teacher Certification in English 5-12;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• NH Certification Authorities and Board of School Committee regulations compliance.
• State of NH Teacher Certification in English 5-12 (0500) or other approved certification status may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan a program of study that meets individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
• Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, and establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects.
• Employ instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives and assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis to provide progress reports as required.
• Diagnose the learning disabilities of students on a regular basis, seeking assistance of or making referrals.
