This position will be responsible for implementing a rigorous reading and writing curriculum that prepares students for college readiness at the secondary level. Applicants should be familiar with the new Arkansas English Language Arts (ELA) standards and frameworks. All teachers at Arkansas Arts Academy are required to incorporate arts integration into their curriculum and explore diverse assessments to provide students with multiple demonstrations of mastery. Teachers will participate in professional learning communities (PLC) and work with ELA teachers K-12 for vertical and horizontal curriculum alignment.

Will be required to complete 40 minutes a week of morning or afternoon duty as well as other duties as assigned.

Requirements Bachelor’s degree and certification by the state of Arkansas for teaching 7-12 English.
