Job summary

Primavera Online School is seeking a High School English Teacher to teach exclusively online from Arizona, with a requirement to reside in AZ and travel for annual testing commitments.

The role reports to the Director of Academics and is a full-time exempt position on the Academic English team, focusing on delivering engaging instruction and supporting students toward graduation.

Qualifications

• AZ Teaching certificate of English for grades 9 - 12.
• Technology savvy.
• Doing what is best for the students at Primavera.
• Any previous LMS use.

Responsibilities

• Plan lessons for engaging live sessions.
• Deliver engaging lessons synchronously and asynchronously.
• Communicate with students to support graduation.
• Use Canvas, Google Drive, and PowerSchool.
• Available to work 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Arizona time, Monday–Friday.
• Occasionally travel to testing locations for six weeks per year.

You’ll be part of theAcademic Englishteam, working closely withstudents and their families, and other English teachers. This team is responsible foreducating Primavera students in their English classes.

The Difference You Will Make

In this role, your work will directly impactstudents, their families, and other teachers byteaching students in engaging lessons, building meaning relationships, and helping the students to earn their high school diploma.

You’ll helpsupport learners and enhance student experience contributing to Primavera’s mission in a meaningful and visible way.

A Typical Day Looks Like

While no two days are exactly the same, you can expect to:

• Lesson plan for you engaging live sessions
• Delivering engaging lessons to students both synchronously and asynchronously
• Communicating with students to help them get to graduation
• Use of Canvas, Google Drive, and PowerSchool
• This position requires availability to work core business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Arizona time, Monday through Friday.
• Must be available to work in person for approximately six weeks each year to support Arizona state testing, including travel to assigned testing locations.
  

This role balancescollaboration and problem-solving and is well-suited for someone who enjoyssupporting students, managing details, and communicating clearly working with purpose.
