Qualifications

• Certification as an English Education Teacher (Mississippi)
• Bachelor's degree in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment
• Masters degree in related area preferred
• Successful prior teaching experiences in English is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develops English education curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Maintains a safe, conducive classroom for individual and small group instruction.
• Plans lessons and translates them into learning experiences.
• Teaches English grammar, syntax, composition, vocabulary, and creative writing.
• Develops critical analysis through discussions of reading materials.
• Assesses student progress and adjusts instruction to student needs.
