Job Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college or university.
• A valid Arizona State Teaching Certificate, or the ability to obtain one with the appropriate endorsement(s).
• Valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card, or the ability to obtain one.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of best instructional practices.
• Ability to provide verification of successful classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience.
• This individual will exhibit the skills pertinent to fostering positive human relationshipsand the ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and the community.
• Ability to deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons across disciplines such asSocial Studies/History.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Work Hours:8 hours/day (7:00 am–4:00 pm)

• Teachers may supervise students in hallways, cafeterias, and outdoor spaces.
• Normal 8-hour workdays, except parent-teacher conferences, professional development, and extracurricular activities may extend work hours.

• Teachers often spend long hours standing and walking around the classroom or school premises.
• May need to lift books, teaching materials, and classroom supplies weighing 20 lbs. or more at times.
