Independent School District 196 seeks an English Learners (ELD) teacher for high school to create and implement ELD curricula, deliver standards-based instruction, and collaborate across teams to support multilingual learners within the district’s curriculum.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the State of Minnesota to teach ESL.
• Strong general academic background.
• Ability to relate positively to students, staff and community.
• Demonstrated planning and organizational skills.
• Commitment to equity and culturally responsive teaching.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and plan ELD curriculum and instruction for English Learners.
• Teach ELD standards aligned with curriculum of Independent School District 196.
• Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and coaches to plan and support classroom teachers and the needs of multilingual learners.
