Job summary

District in Michigan seeks a High School Drone Technology Teacher to develop and deliver an innovative, hands-on program introducing students to drone technology, UAS, aviation, engineering, robotics, GIS, data collection, and related career pathways.

The teacher will emphasize safety, federal/state regulations, ethics, teamwork, problem-solving, and career readiness, creating an engaging environment where students design, build, operate, program, troubleshoot, and apply drone tech to real-world

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Valid Michigan teaching certificate or eligibility for Michigan CTE authorization.
Demonstrated knowledge of technology, STEM, aviation, engineering, robotics, computer science, or related field.
Ability to work effectively with high school students.
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom-management skills.
Commitment to student safety and responsible technology use.
FAA Part 107 remote pilot certification (preferred).
Experience operating or teaching with unmanned aircraft systems/drones.
Experience with GIS, aerial photography, mapping, or 3D modeling.
CTE teaching experience or industry experience related to drone tech.
