Residency Requirements:

  • Must reside in Arkansas

The remote CTE Teacher in Agricultural is a state-certified teacher and/or alternatively certified CRE/CTE Teacher responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. The CRE/CTE Teacher must also provide instruction, support, and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students' individual needs. Teachers monitor student progress through K12's learning management system and work actively with students and parents to advance each student's learning and develop a plan for post-secondary success using online tools like Career Builder, Career Cruising, etc.

This is a full-time REMOTE position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week, is required. Maintain a professional home office without distractions during work hours, typically 9-5 (or 8-4), or as defined by the school.

  • Provides engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences
  • Personalizes learning for all students
  • Believes in all students' ability to succeed and meets high expectations
  • Differentiates instruction based on student mastery
  • Uses appropriate tools to augment course content under guidance from principal and coach
  • Maintains grade book, makes student placement and promotion decisions, and alerts administrators about concerns
  • Prepares students for standardized tests
  • Establishes and maintains positive rapport with families and communicates regularly with students and parents
  • Supports learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues and troubleshooting
  • Understands and applies relevant standards
  • Develops instructional tools and strategies to enhance curriculum
  • Collaborates with the school and professional learning community
  • Administers and proctors assessments where applicable
  • Serves as an Advisor for Career & Technical Student Organization
  • Supports the creation of industry partnerships for work-based learning
  • Supports project-based learning
  • Willing to travel up to 20% for professional development and testing

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree AND
  • Active state teaching license AND
  • Ability to clear background check

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to interpret and use student data to drive instruction
  • Receptive to coaching and feedback
  • Adaptability to change for student success
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online platforms
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Maintain certification and professional development hours

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with the target age group
  • Experience supporting adults and children with technology
  • Experience in online and/or traditional teaching environments
  • Familiarity with online learning platforms
