Qualifications

• Masters degree from an accredited college/university.
• Two years accredited teaching experience.
• Current Kansas State Teaching License on file in the Central Office, with school counselor endorsement.
• ESOL endorsement requirements for certain teachers.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling and group guidance to help students cope with personal, social, academic, career and family concerns.
• Consult with parents, teachers, administrators and supporting agencies concerning the needs and abilities of students.
• Implement a comprehensive appraisal process with tests and interviews and interpret results to students, teachers, administrators and parents.
• Update and maintain confidential student records, including transcripts and files.
• Identify students with special needs and make appropriate referrals.
• Implement an effective program of educational and career planning.

Education

Masters degree from an accredited college/university

Current Kansas State Teaching License with school counselor endorsement
