Job summary

Georgia Connections Academy seeks a dedicated High School Counselor to support students and families in course selection, scheduling, and academic planning. This role can be based from our Duluth, GA office or remotely within Georgia, with requirements to participate in monthly in-person and virtual activities.

The counselor will assist with transitions into the program, coordinate with special needs teams, and address non-academic concerns while ensuring adherence to state credit requirements

Qualifications

• Masters Degree or higher in Counselor Education/School Counseling.
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Georgia School Counseling certification required.

Responsibilities

• Support high-quality synchronous instruction and asynchronous resources aligned to curriculum and state standards.
• Collaborate within MTSS/RTI model to plan and deliver Tier 2 and 3 interventions.
• Build relationships with students and families and maintain communication logs and progress.
• Use assessment data to support student learning needs and adjust strategies for growth.
• Attend required school events and assessments, including state testing when applicable.
