Qualifications

• Masters degree in Counselor Education/School Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Georgia School Counseling Certification required.
• Clearance Certificate through the Department of Education required.
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience in teaching or supporting Title I schools.
• Team player track record.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and parents/learning coaches with course selection and scheduling.
• Follow up with students and families to ensure compliance with school requirements.
• Advise students and families related to academics, early college and career planning.
• Participate in the development of crisis prevention and management plans for the school.
• Report and refer critical incidents that jeopardize student well-being as required by law and standards.
