Qualifications

• Valid New Mexico Public Education Department Counseling License, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Successful experience in high school counseling.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to secondary education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage programs including 504 Plans and Student Assistance Team.
• Provide academic guidance and degree planning for Early College Academy students.
• Assist students in developing Next Step Plans aligned with their individual post-secondary goals.

Skills

Valid New Mexico Public Education Department Counseling License

Experience in high school counseling

Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding secondary education

Interpersonal communication skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Counseling or related field
