Job summary

Bisbee High School in Bisbee, Arizona is seeking a part-time Knowledge Bowl coach to lead the school’s Knowledge Bowl program in FY27. You will organize practices, schedule competitions, and ensure compliance with district and AIA guidelines.

The ideal candidate holds an Arizona coaching or teaching certificate, demonstrates strong leadership, fosters scholastic achievement among athletes, and can manage program records and communications with students, staff, parents, and community.

Qualifications

• Arizona Teaching Certificate or Arizona Substitute Teaching Certificate + Fundamentals of Coaching Certification.
• Or Arizona Coaching Certificate.
• Or Arizona IVP Fingerprint card with Proof of Immunization against Rubeola & Rubella.

Responsibilities

• Organize and develop the sport program within the Administrative and AIA guidelines.
• Encourage the highest standards of conduct and scholastic achievement among all athletes.
• Exemplify the highest moral character, behavior and leadership.
• Administer practice sessions and competitions, and monitor students at all times.
• Provide a handbook describing the program (schedules, discipline rules, cut procedures, etc.).
• Maintain proper care, maintenance, and security of supplies, equipment, and facilities.
• Maintain game, season and award records of the program.
• Maintain team discipline.
• Teach quality progression of skills.
• Work with a diverse population.
• Maintain relationships with students, staff, parents, and community.
