High School Chemistry Teacher

Peabody Veterans Memorial High School is seeking a dynamic and passionate Chemistry Teacher to join our high school faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire, empower, and challenge students to reach their fullest potential and strive for excellence in their academic journey. This role requires the ability to effectively teach students at all levels, including Advanced Placement (AP).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING):
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree and appropriate Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license.
  • Knowledge and experience teaching Chemistry.
  • Ability to implement a variety of differentiated instructional strategies.
  • Knowledge of the Massachusetts Science & Technology Frameworks and Science and Engineering Practices.
  • Passionate about working with students and providing the individual interventions needed for success.
  • Collaboration-oriented personal and teaching philosophy.
  • Willingness to engage in school community and events.
  • Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
  • Bilingualism is a highly desired skill for a position, but not a requirement.
