Job summary

Concrete School District is seeking a part-time cafeteria cashier to supervise students during meal periods, handle cash transactions, and help manage meal accounts. You will ensure orderly lines and accurate reporting of daily transactions.

The role requires no college degree, but you should work well under pressure, communicate clearly with students and staff, and be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Training will cover cash handling, reports, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during meal periods and maintain orderly lunch flow.

• Complete tray counts and record cash received.
• Post daily menu flyers when available.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock salad bar and condiment stations.
• Provide basic first aid to ill or injured students.
• Assist with general cleanup between meals.

Job Summary:

This position supervises students during the meal periods. Responsibilities include accounting for student's finances with purchases of meals and ala cartes

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ensure that children proceed through lunch line in an orderly manner.
2. Performs cashiering duties as assigned. Scanning and inputting student identification of students for meal. Deposit money in individual accounts for and accept payment for meals.
3. Complete tray counts and cash received.
4. Post daily menu flyers, when available.
5. Maintain general organization and cleanliness of salad bar, ala carte and condiments stations: re-stocking, portioning, light surface cleaning and tidiness. (when time allows)
6. Provides basic first aid care to ill or injured students.
7. Clean-up duties between meals as assigned
8. Perform related duties as assigned

Reports to:

Food Service Director and/or Building Principal

Working conditions:

Confined to work area. May be required to stand for prolonged periods of time. Experience constant interruptions and time pressures.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High school graduation or equivalent.
2. Ability to read, write, complete and apply basic mathematics calculations
3. Ability to accurately and successfully complete required reports as requested
4. Experience working with children
5. Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds

Licenses/Special Requirements:

Current First Aid and CPR as required by district.

Evaluation:

Cashier will be evaluated by the building Principal or his/her designee and consistent with the current PSE agreement.
