Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business education or related field.
• Preferred - valid Pennsylvania Diversified Occupations Endorsement/Certification (or eligibility to obtain).
• Valid Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate in Business, Computer, and Information Technology (BCIT) PK-12 or relevant endorsement.
• Experience teaching high school level business curriculum and managing career/technical cooperative work experiences preferred.
• Approved adjunct status (or eligibility to qualify) through partner higher education institutions to teach College in High School (CHS) courses.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver rigorous instruction in high school business subjects, including personal finance, accounting, marketing, and entrepreneurship.
• Facilitate dual-enrollment College in High School (CHS) courses in partnership with affiliated colleges/universities, adhering strictly to post-secondary syllabi, grading scales, and academic standards.
• Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate the Diversified Occupations (DO) cooperative education program, matching eligible seniors with approved community work experiences.
• Conduct regular on-site visitations and evaluations at student employment locations to monitor workplace learning, safety, and performance.
• Maintain complete training agreements, training plans, wage/hour records, and safety documentation as mandated by state regulations for Diversified Occupations students.
• Teach school-based instructional components of the DO program, focusing on work ethic, labor laws, interview techniques, financial management, and career readiness.
• Monitor and evaluate individual student performance across academic business courses, CHS dual-enrollment modules, and work-based learning assignments.
• Incorporate adaptive instruction and accommodations for diverse learning styles, IEPs, and 504 plans.
• Utilize instructional technology, relevant business software, and modern educational tools to enhance student engagement.
• Communicate regularly with parents, school counselors, administration, and business partners regarding student progress and program developments.
• Perform such other duties as assigned by the building principal or designee.
