Lee's Summit West High School is seeking an Assistant Coach for Boys' Wrestling for the 2026-27 school year. The role involves assisting with planning, managing and directing the wrestling program, including practices and competitions.

Responsibilities include promoting the program, guiding student-athletes, scouting opponents, and supporting academic progress while coordinating with feeder middle schools and offering summer camp opportunities.

Qualifications

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Assistant Coaching the boys Wrestling team.
• Assist with managing all aspects of the program including practicing, competing, providing off-season improvement opportunities to include strength and conditioning and full usage of contact days.
• Marketing and promoting the boys Wrestling program.
• Assistant Coaching, guiding, and providing feedback to student athletes.
• Scouting opponents.
• Assist with managing a fiscally sound budget.
• Assist with monitoring class schedules, grades and student-athlete academic progress, and intervening where appropriate.
• Responsible for boys Wrestling student-athlete retention.
• Articulation with the feeder middle school program.
• Providing summer camp opportunities for elementary and/or middle school students.
