Job summary

School Board of Highlands County Sebring High in Sebring, Florida is seeking an Athletic Coach to oversee the assistant basketball program. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Physical ability to perform essential tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Completion of required athletic coaching courses to include First Aid and CPR.
• Obtain Athletic Coaching Certification from the State of Florida within the required timeline.
• Satisfactory clearance of a criminal history records check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Administers all aspects of the activity within the District and school Athletic Department policies.
• Adheres to Florida High School Activities Association and National Federation Rules.
• Provides safekeeping/accounting for program funds when responsible for fees/collections.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the sport and related rules; keeps up-to-date on safety practices.
• Ensures adequate practice time, organization, and delivery of instruction; manages practices and contests.
