Job summary

Akiak School in Alaska is seeking a part-time HS Boys Basketball Head Coach. The coach will report to the Athletic Director/Principal of Yupiit School District and lead the high school program in partnership with school academics and other activities.

Responsibilities include planning practices, coordinating interscholastic contests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety and compliance with ASAA rules. CPR/First Aid and Alaska coaching certification required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Must have or be willing to obtain Alaska Coaching Certification.
• An experienced coach who will develop a total high school program.
• Current CPR and first aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule a regular program of practice in-season.
• Coordinate program with athletic director and school programs.
• Oversee safety conditions of the facility at all times when students are present.
• Maintain and submit accurate records of practices, injuries, and eligibility.
