Job summary

Traverse City Area Public Schools seeks a Bowling Helper Coach at Central High School in Traverse City, MI. Join a team supporting student-athletes to develop skills, discipline, and self-esteem under the supervision of coaches and athletic staff.

Responsibilities include assisting practices, maintaining discipline, and ensuring safety. Must hold a valid teaching certificate with a Bachelor’s degree; CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid teaching certificate and a bachelor’s degree preferred
• First aid and CPR training preferred
• Experience in teaching, coaching, and sports medicine preferred
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrate success in area of application

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the TCAPS Code of Conduct; acts as a positive role model on and off the court/field/site;
• Helps maintain accurate statistics, records, and results of the season;
• Reinforces the coaching staff in discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times, and abides by established penalties for breach of such standards by individual students;
• Oversees safety conditions of the facility and reports injuries to the trainer or on-site administrator;
• Provides supervision of all athletes until they have left the building and/or site;
